Marrakech Retreats was created to help retreat leaders and groups experience Morocco with authenticity, intention, and care. We are not tour guides or travel agents. Instead, we are collaborators, guides, and facilitators – here to share the magic of Morocco through thoughtfully curated experiences that reflect the heart of its culture and people.
Our Desire
At Marrakech Retreats, we strive to provide retreat leaders with the tools, support, and connections needed to create unforgettable journeys. Specialising in interior design and wellbeing retreats, we take pride in helping our guests explore Morocco with depth, offering honest advice and a curated network of premium boutique properties, artisans, and tour operators.
Co-founders Angela and Mohammed Mellak bring together their unique perspectives to shape every aspect of Marrakech Retreats. Angela, an experienced yoga teacher and creative designer, has infused her passion for wellness and intentional living into the design of Riad Botanica, crafting serene spaces ideal for reflection, group workshops, and private practice. Mohammed, a Marrakchi native, lends his deep local knowledge to create authentic connections and uncover hidden gems that embody the spirit of Morocco.
Our Roots
The soul of Marrakech Retreats is intertwined with Riad Botanica, a boutique riad opened in 2023 in the historic Medina of Marrakech. Offering five suites, it is a tranquil intimate sanctuary inspired by nature, where traditional Moroccan architecture meets contemporary Australian design.

Mohamed, a Marrakchi local, brings his deep knowledge of Morocco’s culture and hidden gems, fostering authentic connections that embody the spirit of the country (which is demonstrated by a big customer satisfaction rating on all platforms)
